About CIGP Thunder Breakthrough

Built to bring discipline to idle capital

CIGP Thunder Breakthrough was founded on a simple premise: businesses shouldn't have to choose between leaving cash idle and taking on risk they can't quantify. We build the tools that close that gap.

Our Story

From a shared frustration to a focused product

CIGP Thunder Breakthrough started as an internal tool built to solve a problem we kept running into ourselves: treasury and finance teams had plenty of dashboards, but none of them translated market conditions into a clear, defensible allocation decision. Spreadsheets got stale. Risk models lived in silos. Decisions lagged the data behind them.

We set out to build something narrower and more useful — a system that watches conditions continuously, calibrates risk exposure accordingly, and gives a straightforward recommendation instead of another chart to interpret.

We'd rather do one thing — adaptive risk calibration for idle capital — with rigor than offer a broad suite half-heartedly.

Our Mission

Make idle capital a managed decision, not a default

We believe every business holding uncommitted cash deserves a clear, continuously updated view of what that capital could be doing — and the guardrails to act on it responsibly.

Clarity over complexity

We translate market signals into plain recommendations, not raw data that requires a specialist to interpret.

Risk-first thinking

Every output is calibrated against risk tolerance first. Returns are a consequence of discipline, not the starting point.

Continuous recalibration

Conditions change, so our models reassess continuously rather than producing a one-time snapshot that goes stale.

What We Value

Principles that shape how we build

Transparency by design

We explain the reasoning behind a recommendation rather than presenting a black-box score. If we can't explain it, we don't ship it.

Conservative defaults

Our systems default to caution when signals are mixed. We'd rather under-recommend than overextend a client's exposure.

Iteration over assumption

We treat every model as a draft subject to revision. Markets shift, and so should the logic that interprets them.

Plain communication

No jargon for the sake of sounding sophisticated. If a client can't understand our reasoning in one read, we rewrite it.

Respect for scale

What works for a small reserve shouldn't break down for a larger one. We design our calibration logic to hold up across sizes.

Accountable defaults

We stand behind the logic we ship. If a recommendation underperforms expectations, we revisit the model, not just the outcome.

Our Team

A small team, deliberately

CIGP Thunder Breakthrough is built by a focused group of people working across modeling, product, and client support. We've kept the team lean on purpose — it keeps decision-making fast and keeps everyone close to the actual product, rather than removed from it.

We don't publish a large roster of titles because the work is genuinely collaborative: the person who refines a risk model is often the same person who talks a client through how it applies to their situation.

  • Cross-functional by default — modeling, product, and client support work from the same shared context.
  • Decisions are made close to the work, not routed through layers of sign-off.
  • Every team member engages directly with how clients actually use the product.
